We used a 2-billion-word Spanish corpus to identify the 300 highest-frequency words, then organised them into 7 layers from most to least common. Nothing wasted.
Each word is scheduled using the SM-2 algorithm — the same science behind Anki. You see words just before you'd forget them, building lasting memory instead of cramming.
